Dr Michael Donnellan is an Australian trained Neurosurgeon, with advanced training in complex spine surgery, and minimally invasive endoscopic base of skull surgery. He completed his Medical Degree at Sydney University in 1993.
He completed his Neurosurgical training in 2008. He gained his Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of Surgeons, in Neurosurgery (specialist training) in 2008.
He pursued several research interests and has helped develop several new neurosurgical techniques including Adult Stem Cell Therapy in Parkinson’s disease. He has pioneered a new technique for endoscopic base of skull surgery with Dr Teo. Most recently he has published a new technique of upper cervical atlanto-axial fusion with Dr William Sears. He has contributed to International Spine text books on this subject.
